Given to the town of Vernon, Alabama in 2005, the Terry S. Hardy Folk Art Collection celebrates the spirit of Contemporary
American Folk Art.
This body of art, by some of America's most important folk artists, provides a fascinating reflection on our evolving
national character. It is a record of extraordinary individuals and their ideas of the American experience.
Included in this collection are Howard Finster, Mose Tolliver, Richard Burnside, Willie Jinks, Joe Mason and many other
important contemporary folk artists.
This collection is located in the Vernon Civic Building at the intersection of Highways 17 and 18 in Vernon, Alabama.
